Incidents:

January 18 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis began an investigation of an alleged bullying/harassment issue involving juveniles. Deputy Lewis and juvenile authorities met with parent(s) and suspect about the matter as information had been shared via cell phone with other students. School administration is handling procedure at school and other services were offered.

January 22 the LCSO began an investigation of possible child abuse/neglect in the northern part of Livingston County. The matter did not meet criminal elements and had been referred to other services by a different agency.

January 22 we began an investigation into stolen jewelry from a rural residence. A possible suspect has been identified and the matter remains under investigation.

January 28 the LCSO completed an investigation on alleged Sex Offender Registration Violation. The suspect is a convicted child offender and had allegedly not been reporting an active Facebook account. Information being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

January 31 a deputy stopped a vehicle on U.S. 36 about 1:00 a.m. for traffic offense. K-9 Zaki was soon called to the scene upon reasonable suspicion of further criminal activity.   Zaki gave positive indication of drug(s) odor in the vehicle which resulted in the seizure of suspected prescription medication (illegal possession), drug distribution items and marijuana. Deputies arrested Renee Lynn Haynes, 37, Bolivar for the alleged possession of controlled substance. A warrant was subsequently issued by the Court charging Ms. Haynes with felony possession of controlled substance. Ms. Haynes remains incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

Added:

January 29 added Shanae P. Damon, 24, Columbia wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged 2 felony counts Endangering the Welfare of a Child-1st degree.

January 29 added Roger D. Owings, 47, KCMO, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class B felony Drug Violation.

Arrested:

January 26 Kristopher Dale Grashorn surrendered to the Chillicothe Police and posted bond.

January 28 Joseph Wesley Story surrendered to the Chillicothe Police on a Livingston County arrest warrant.

January 28 Hunter Lee Forrest Burns surrendered to the Chillicothe Police on a Livingston County arrest warrant.

January 30 Ronald Virgil Scott Silkwood, 21, surrendered to the LCSO at Court. Ms. Silkwood posted bond and was released pending next court appearance.

January 30 Cara Ann Hagler, 26, surrendered to the LCSO at Court.

January 31 Brandi Lynn Glosser, 43, was arrested by the Chillicothe Police on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

 

Arrests:

January 23 the LCSO arrested Bailey Kristen Souders, 24, Chillicothe on a Caldwell County arrest warrant for alleged insufficient funds check(s). Ms. Souders was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

January 25 the LCSO located and arrested Christina Elaine Gamble, 42, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged 3 felony allegations; 2 class D felony Abuse or Neglect of a Child under section 568.060-No Sexual Contact and 1 class E felony Tampering with Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution 575.100. Ms. Gamble was transported to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

January 27 the LCSO assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol with the arrest of Michael Lee Acklin, 44, Chillicothe on a Carroll County warrant. Mr. Acklin posted $250 bond at the LCSO and was released with a court date for Carroll County.

January 28 the LCSO and Missouri State Highway Patrol went to an address in Chula and arrested Keith Lynn Yount, 48, Chillicothe on 7 Jackson County arrest warrants each for alleged Sex Offender Registration Violation. Mr. Yount was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

January 31 a deputy and state trooper went to a residence in Wheeling where they arrested Jason Norman Timpson, 34, Wheeling on a Linn County arrest warrant for misdemeanor trespassing. Mr. Timpson was transferred to the custody of Linn County Sheriff.

 

Citations:

January 27 a deputy issued a Chillicothe driver a speeding citation for 47 in a 25 in Wheeling.

January 29 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 82 in a 65 on 36 at Wheeling junction.

 

Prisoner Transports:

February 01 the LCSO transported the following to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph on either a parole warrant or to begin serving a sentence:

Eric Sparkman, 24, Chillicothe           Parole return

 

Johnny Franklin Beauregard, 28         Parole return

 

Mathew J. Lee, 37, St. Joseph             Possession Controlled Substance        3 years DOC

 

Additional Information:

January 31 we removed on registered sex offender from our roster as that person reported moving to Kansas City. The notification was sent to the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Jackson County Sheriff.

This week the LCSO assisted several motorists having car problems in the extreme cold and remained very busy with criminal investigations, assisting other agencies and many administrative duties.

The LCSO is currently hold 32 people in the Daviess DeKalb County Regional Jail.
