Incidents:

February 04 the LCSO began an investigation of Perjury in Court and False Affidavit on paternity during a civil case. We have since completed the investigation and the report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney to consider charges.

February 06 the LCSO worked on a separate child abuse allegation and involved working with internet crimes unit on search of websites viewed for possible child pornography. Investigation continues.

February 08 the LCSO began an investigation of theft from a parked vehicle. Investigation continues.

February 09 the LCSO began an investigation on alleged child abuse, child advocacy center and DFS have assisted with investigation up to this point. Investigation is continuing.

February 13 the LCSO completed a drug investigation on a Wheeling man and are submitting reports to the prosecuting attorney for consideration on possession of Methamphetamine charge.

February 20 the LCSO began an investigation of Tampering with a Motor Vehicle and has since closed the case at the request of the victim.

February 21 the LCSO investigated a dog bite which caused injury to a child in Wheeling. The child was provided medical attention and it was determined the young dog was current on vaccinations. The report was shared with the Livingston County Health Center.

February 21 the LCSO began an investigation where a rural resident had been tricked into buying $550 worth of Google gift cards and sending photos of the information on the back of the cards to the caller. The person was attempting to get the victim to believe a specific amount of money would be sent to their bank account and gave out their banking information. The caller was most likely not in the United States. The victim was advised how to better protect their account and personal information.

February 25 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report through this office of a parent not requiring her child to attend school regularly as the student has a 66% attendance rate. Other contacts and enforcement attempts have not worked and a report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney to consider charges on the parent.

February 27 the LCSO responded to Chula where a young child was found wandering around town that morning in cold weather. The young child was quite some distance from the proper home. Deputy was speaking with the child when a caretaker called law enforcement dispatch to report the young child missing from the home. A check of the home showed it was clean and all the children had been well cared for but this one slipped out without anyone noticing. We have made required hotline call and notified the juvenile office. A report will be sent to the prosecuting attorney for review and apply with a companion case.

February the LCSO has completed working on a lengthy child abuse allegation. The young child is now at a different parent’s home. The LCSO has seized suspected evidence from the home. The Child Advocacy Center has assisted the LCSO with the investigation. Juvenile office is aware of situation and hotline calls were made. Final report being submitted to prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges on the step-parent for alleged child abuse.

The LCSO has been working on numerous criminal investigation and multiple fugitive investigations involving contact with various agencies around Missouri and other states.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

February 08 the LCSO extradited Vonda Kathlene Glosser, 35, Chula from the Carrollton Police on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child-1st degree. Ms. Glosser was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

February 08 the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office arrested Kevin R. Head, 37, on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged felony stealing. Mr. Head was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

February 11 we added David Michael Searcy, 33, Chillicothe wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged failure to appear in court on 2 class A misdemeanor counts of Non-Support, violation 568.040 RSMO.

February 13 Shanae P. Damon, 24, Columbia surrendered to the Court on warrant for alleged felony Endangering the Welfare of a Child-1st degree. Ms. Damon posted bond and was released.

February 21 Jamie Corin Damewood, 36 was arrested by Kansa City Police on a Livingston County warrant for alleged Burglary 1st degree. Ms. Damewood has since been extradited and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

 

Arrests:

February 01 the LCSO arrested Jessica Lynn Ishmael, 36, Dawn on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class A misdemeanor DWI-Person less than 17 in vehicle. Ms. Ishmael posted the $750 bond and released pending Court appearance.

February 01 the LCSO arrested Jason David Close Jr, 21, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Statutory Sodomy-2nd degree. Mr. Close was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

February 02 the LCSO arrested Travis Dawane Moritz, 45, Chillicothe on a City of Chillicothe warrant for alleged Trespassing. Mr. Moritz posted bond and was released pending Court appearance.

February 02 the LCSO arrested Randy Wayne Adair, 57, Wheeling on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Sex Offender Registration Violation. Mr. Adair was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

February 02 the LCSO arrested Peggy Jo Zorn, 39, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance. Ms. Zorn was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

February 05 the LCSO arrested Rita George, 31, at the Livingston County Courthouse on a commitment warrant for Contempt of Court on February 04. Ms. George was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail to serve a 2 day jail sentence.

February 27 the LCSO located and arrested Matthew Jeffery Pike, 37, Chillicothe on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony DWI-Persistent Offender. Mr. Pike was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

 

Citations:

February 03 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Wheeling.

February 14 a speeding citation was issued to an Illinois driver for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mitchell Road.

 

Prisoner Transports:

February 08 the LCSO transported Matthew Case, Chillicothe to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph on a Parole Warrant.

February 26 the LCSO transported the following to the Missouri Department of Corrections in Vandalia, MO:

 

Frances A. Groom, 37, Gallatin          Stealing - 5 years

 

Kaya Miles, 26, Illinois                      Forgery - 5 years

 

Additional Information:

February 05 William Brandon Jackson, a registered offender, reported to the LCSO he is moving to New Madrid County, MO.

February 05 the LCSO had 11 detainees appear in Livingston County Circuit Court before Judge Ryan Horsman.

LCSO staff has been busy assisting motorists with slide-offs and mechanical problems due to the extreme winter weather and cold this month.

February 13 the LCSO had 12 detainees appear before Judge Michael Leamer for Associate Circuit Court Law Day.

February 27 the LCSO had 13 detainees appear before Judge Michael Leamer for Association Circuit Court Law Day.

Currently the LCSO is holding 25 detainees, 6 of which are female, in the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.
