pledge to drive safely

Recently the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) has increased traffic enforcement with focus on aggressive and careless drivers, drunk or drugged drivers and other hazardous moving violations.  Our goal is to prevent accidents, injuries and death on our roadways. We like it when you make it home safe.

The following citations were recently issued and this does not include the number of warnings given or traffic stops made. One driver was given field sobriety tests due to concerns of recent drug use:

Palmyra, MO driver cited for 19 over the speed limit.

Illinois driver cited for 21 over the speed limit.

Kansas City, MO driver cited for 19 over the speed limit.

Illinois driver cited for 24 over the speed limit.

Chillicothe, MO driver cited for 23 over the speed limit.

Illinois driver cited for 15 over the speed limit.

Nevada driver cited for 19 over the speed limit.

Indiana driver cited for 18 over the speed limit.

Michigan driver cited for 15 over the speed limit.

Florissant, MO cited for 21 over the speed limit.

Illinois driver cited for 17 over the speed limit.

Macon, MO driver cited for 23 over the speed limit.

California driver cited for 20 over the speed limit.

Texas driver cited for 23 over the speed limit.

Indiana driver cited for 11 over the speed limit.

Chillicothe, MO driver cited for 23 over the speed limit.

A good part of this was funded through traffic enforcement safety grant from MoDOT.  The grant pays for the deputy overtime.
