Blog Crime Map Frequently Asked Questions History of the Sheriff Warrants K-9 Zaki

Urgent Attention Requested

July 03, 2019

This morning a work vehicle was filled with tools and stolen from a location in Chillicothe and local police began investigation. Missouri State Highway Patrol soon saw the vehicle in western part of Livingston County. LCSO staff responded to assist and Deputy Leadbetter and k-9 Zaki were summoned as a male suspect had already fled on foot into a large brushy area.

Apparently the only smart thing that suspect did was ultimately surrender as Zaki was more than eager to give more than a hug and kisses.

We are very concerned other vehicles may have been stolen and/or burglaries took place in Livingston and area counties. We know two vehicles have been stolen in Caldwell County and we have recovered another vehicle which is possibly stolen.

Sorry but this is all the detail we can share at this time but we are working with multiple agencies in attempt to get all these problems solved. Creeps may be taking advantage and hoping people are gone or will not pay attention to missing items or vehicles over this holiday time.

Please report any burglary, theft or stolen vehicle to your local law enforcement agency promptly.
