Incidents, Arrests, Zaki, and MORE

The following is public information available at this time on these cases from the Livingston County Sheriff's Office.  Please remember that all persons are innocent unless and until proven guilty in a Court of law.  A mere arrest or arrest warrant is only an allegation and nothing more. 

 

Incidents:

June 18 the LCSO began an investigation of a stolen push mower and gas from a location in Wheeling. Officers have interviewed potential witness, searched a property and investigation continues.

June 25 an investigation of alleged animal abuse/neglect was completed and the LCSO received assistance from the State Vet and Livingston County Humane Society. During the investigation 4 horses were examined by the Vet and information is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges. The 4 horses have since been removed from the location they were found.

June 30 the LCSO was summoned to a location in area of U.S. 65 and Liv 210 for a person acting very strange. Caller reported thinking the adult female was showing drug intoxication and for unknown reason fled into tall grassy area. Deputy arrived and announced the presence of K-9 Zaki and the woman made her presence known. The person was checked by EMS due to concern of methamphetamine intoxication. The female was cleared and given a ride to requested location in eastern part of Livingston County.

July 02 the LCSO responded to a call of a nude person in the park in Wheeling. Upon arrival members of the Wheeling community were attempting to help the disabled person. LCSO was able to determine where the individual resides and was ultimately able to speak with the mother. Other people had been designated to be with their family member but somehow the individual got out of sight and was happy to be reunited with family. A mandated hotline call was made in attempt to offer additional services to the family. Fortunately everyone was okay and the quick assistance was very much appreciated by all.

July 02 the LCSO began investigation of property damage at a property in southern Livingston County. Investigation continues.

July 03 LCSO staff had to gain entry into a home in southern Livingston County due to exigent circumstances and concerns an elderly male needed urgent help. Neighbors had been attempting to contact the man for 2 days and had reason to believe he was home. LCSO staff attempted several ways to make contact until it required additional means. Fortunately the gentleman was found to be, sleeping, very hard of hearing and okay.

July 07 the LCSO began an investigation of theft from a property on Liv 233. Since the resident had recently passed away unknown person(s) stole at least a wooden yard cart, Stihl weedeater and Stihl chainsaw. Security measures have taken place and investigation continues.

July 09 we were summoned to a rural address to check on the well-being of a possible suicidal person. Everything was found to be okay and the person in question was in company of a responsible person.

July 10 the LCSO responded to a well-being check of a rural resident on concerns the person was suicidal. The individual was found to be in the company of a spouse and everyone assured things were okay and no need for additional services.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

Arrested July 02 by authorities in Linn County, Hunter Lee Forrest Burns, 18, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original felony Possession of Controlled Substance.

Arrested July 05 by authorities in Caldwell County, Jacquelyn Rae Wilkerson, 44, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original felony Possession of Controlled Substance.

Arrested July 05 by authorities in Clinton County, Harold R. Burnett Sr., 64, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged felony Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

Arrested July 05 by authorities in Clinton County, Brenda L. Burnett, 59, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged felony Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.

All 4 individuals were extradited by LCSO and taken to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail pending bond and/or court appearance.

Added July 10 Amber Kay Berglund, 32, Minnesota wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class C felony Passing Bad Check-$500 or more.

Added July 10 Dale Earnest Denoyer, 53, South Dakota wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class C felony Passing Bad Check-$500 or More.

 

Arrests:

July 03 the LCSO assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol on an arrest by a trooper. The LCSO transported the 35-year-old Henrietta MO man to the Carroll County Sheriff at the county line as the man was wanted on a Carroll County arrest warrant for Failure to Appear on a Traffic Violation and was unable to post bond. July 04 the LCSO assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol with an arrested man on a traffic offense warrant. The subject was brought to the LCSO by the MSHP and posted the $100 bond and was released from custody. See MSHP for additional details.

July 06 the LCSO extradited Brandon Keith Kleihauer, 22, Hamilton from the Caldwell County Sheriff on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failing to Register Motor Vehicle. Mr. Kleihauer was unable to post $100 bond and was transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail pending Court appearance.

July 07 the LCSO arrested Brian N. Moore, 49 in Utica on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order on two original felony violations being class D felony Possession Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine and Class E felony Resisting with Arrest for Felony. Mr. Moore was unable to post bond and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Regional Jail.

July 08 a deputy made a traffic stop and subsequently arrested Lacey Ann Tarpen, 34, Texas on an Osage Beach arrest warrant for failing to appear on a traffic ticket. Ms. Tarpen posted bond and was released.

 

Citations:

July 05 a College Park driver was cited for 27 over the posted speed limit.

July 06 an Indiana driver was cited for 27 over the posted speed limit.

July 08 a Kansas City residence was issued a citation for Failure to Register Motor Vehicle Annually with Dept. of Revenue. The license plates expired September 2018.

July 08 a Chicago driver was cited for 18 over the posted speed limit.

July 09 a Cairo, MO driver was cited for 18 over the posted speed limit.

July 09 a Texas driver was cited for 15 over the posted speed limit.

July 09 a Chillicothe driver was cited for no drivers license.

July 09 a, Illinois driver was cited for 15 over the posted speed limit.

July 09 a St. Louis driver was cited for 20 over the posted speed limit.

July 10 an Illinois driver was cited for 10 over the speed limit after nearly causing a crash on U.S. 36.

July 10 a Kansas driver was cited for 17 over the speed limit

July 11 a Joplin, MO driver was cited for 15 over the posted speed limit.

July 11 an Illinois driver was cited for 26 over the posted speed limit.

July 11 a Shawnee Kansas driver was cited for 27 over the posted speed limit.

Zaki:

July 03 Zaki was summoned to assist the Chillicothe Police on an investigation. Zaki alerted to the presence of drug odor(s) and the police recovered methamphetamine and other items. See CPD for additional details.

July 04 Zaki was summoned to assist the Chillicothe Police on a vehicle stop. Zaki alerted to the odor of drug(s) present and the police made an arrest for methamphetamine related drug crime and a small child was removed from the vehicle. See CPD for additional details.

 

Additional Information:

July 09 the LCSO transported Shawn Michael Yuille, 25, to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph to begin serving time on his recent conviction for Murder.

July 09 the LCSO transported one male detainee from the Caldwell County Jail to the Livingston County Circuit Court on a writ for mandatory appearance and the person was returned to the custody of the Caldwell County Sheriff.

July 09 the LCSO had 16 detainees appear before Circuit Judge Ryan Horsman on Circuit Court Law Day for mandatory Court appearance.

July 10 we had 9 detainees appear before Associate Judge Michael Leamer on Associate Law day for mandatory appearance.

July 10 we extradited a detainee from the Adair County Jail to appear before Judge Leamer and returned the detainee to Adair County.

The LCSO has responded to multiple calls of livestock being out in various locations of the county.
