Incidents, Arrests and MORE Information

Incident Reports:

August 23 a deputy made a vehicle stop at a location in Chillicothe and observed in plain view drug paraphernalia. Item was seized as evidence and information being submitted to prosecuting attorney.

August 24 the LCSO interviewed a reported victim on domestic assault which took place in Carroll County. Information shared with that agency.

August 24 the LCSO investigated a report of stolen golf cart from private property. Investigation report shows property located and damaged with the owner seeking no prosecution as apparently a “friend” borrowed the cart.

August 26 the LCSO began an investigation of alleged identity theft and realized this was an issue where the possible victim needs additional assistance. Various resources have been contacted and working to help this person in multiple ways.

August 27 the LCSO and MSHP responded to the 11000 block of LIV 2313 on a reported domestic disturbance. Investigation shows no criminal violation. Information shared with all involved.

August 29 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer began investigation at a local school for alleged possession of marijuana by a student. The student and a parent met the deputy and juvenile officer at the LCSO. Juvenile office will receive the report and the school will handle administrative issue.

August 29 the LCSO began an investigation regarding a methamphetamine violation.

August 29 the LCSO posted information about 3 pups missing from the 5000 block of Route V. Within minutes the matter was resolved and the person who found the pups was in contact with the original owner.

August 29 the LCSO began an investigation of reported burglary of a property where the owner is absent. The case is continuing.

August 29 the LCSO completed an alleged Sex Offender Registration Violation investigation which began on August 23. The report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

August 27 Independence PD arrested Jon Alfred Ralston, 48 on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance. We have since extradited Mr. Ralston to the DDRJ in lieu of bond. Mr. Ralston had been a fugitive since

 

Arrests:

August 23 the LCSO arrested Christy Dawn Harrison, 34, Brookfield on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Driving While Revoked/Suspended. Ms. Harrison appeared before the Court and was released on bond.

August 26 the LCSO arrested Samantha Jo Jones, 26, Chillicothe on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original charge of 3 class D felony being 2 counts Endangering the Welfare of a Child and 1 count Possession of Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $50,000 by the court on case 19LV-CR00286-01.

August 26 the LCSO arrested William Dale Estes, 32 on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original Endangering the Welfare of a Child allegation. Bond set at $50,000 and Mr. Estes delivered to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

August 28 a deputy witnessed a person driving who has a suspended and subsequently stopped the vehicle. The deputy arrested Devon A. Hand, 33, Chillicothe for the alleged Driving While Suspended. Mr. Hand was processed at the LCSO and released with summons to appear September 25.

August 28 the LCSO stopped on U.S. 36 to assist a stranded motorcycle. The deputy saw the driver then heading off into the grass and required additional effort to make contact. That person was soon identified and arrested on two outstanding warrants. Arrested was Jesse Jay Deshazier, 39, Utica wanted in Livingston County for alleged Failure to Register Motor Vehicle with bond of $121 cash and Caldwell County warrant for alleged Failure to Appear on Excessive Speed. Mr. Deshazier was unable to post bond and transferred to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.   MSHP assisted with the arrest.

August 28 the LCSO extradited Charles Spencer Henson, 29, from the Chariton County Sheriff on Livingston County arrest warrant for 4 traffic offense warrants with total bond of $1281. Mr. Henson was delivered to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

 

Zaki:

August 29 Zaki and K9 handler Deputy Leadbetter were called out to assist on a traffic stop the LCSO conducted on multiple complaints the vehicle was on 190 and driving extremely carless. Zaki alerted to positive drug odor(s) in the vehicle and officers seized a methamphetamine pipe and other methamphetamine related item(s).

August 29 the LCSO had stopped a motorist for speeding violation. Additional investigation resulted in Zaki being summoned to the scene and he alerted to the odor of drug(s) in the vehicle. Search resulted in the seizure of used drug equipment and a Chula resident was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. That person is on probation for a misdemeanor criminal violation and the Brookfield passenger is on probation/parole for multiple felony convictions.

 

Citations:

August 22 a Springfield, Illinois driver was cited for 83 in a 65

August 22 a Brookfield driver was cited for 82 in a 65.

August 26 a California driver was cited for 82 in a 65.

 

Additional Information:

We have assisted the Missouri State Highway Patrol on incidents this week.

Our detainee population in the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail has swollen this week due to various alleged Violation of Bond Condition and/or Failure to Obey a Judge’s Order with several warrants being issued. As of Thursday night we had 35 people in custody.

A variety of information has been shared with other agencies regarding criminal investigations, fugitive investigations, location of stolen property, location of fugitives, juvenile matters and other issues.
