Afternoon of September 10, 2019 the LCSO conducted a fugitive investigation in Utica and attempted to arrest an adult male who would not come outside of a home and caused the entry ways and door locks to be blocked/tampered with. The suspect was given verbal commands to surrender or face arrest plus additional charges but he chose not to comply.

LCSO staff made entry into the home and arrested Dustin Lee Ritchie, 35, on Livingston County warrant for alleged Trespassing-1st degree (stems from driving levee on private property during recent historic flood earlier this year) and a Missouri Parole warrant for an original drug offense violation. Mr. Ritchie was hiding inside the clothes dryer in the home.

Mr. Ritchie potentially faces additional resisting arrest charge and is being transferred to the Daviess Dekalb County Jail and will see the judge this week before being returned to the Missouri Department of Corrections.
