Special Traffic Enforcement/Citations Issued

Safety First

Recently the Livingston County Sheriff's Office has utilized grant funding to assist with traffic enforcement and increasing highway safety in Livingston County. The overtime funding is provided through a grant from the Missouri Department of Transportation.

The LCSO issued at least the following citations in October 2019. This does not include information on the numbers of warnings, vehicle stops, assisted motorists or arrests made:

October 12 at 2:03 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Grand River.

October 12 at 3:35 p.m. a Wisconsin driver was cited for 87 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 13 at 1:15 p.m. a Milan driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at LIV 261.

October 13 at 2:00 p.m. a Wheeling driver was cited for Failure to Register Motor Vehicle Annually and No Financial Responsibility.

October 14 at 1:21 p.m. a Hamilton MO driver was cited for 86 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 14 at 1:54 p.m. a Nebraska driver was cited for 88 in a 65 on U.S. 36 east of Mooresville Junction.

October 14 at 2:09 p.m. a Florida driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 14 at 3:28 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near LIV 419.

October 20 at 1:40 p.m. a Lees Summit driver was cited for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 20 at 3:31 p.m. a Kansas City driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 20 at 3:43 p.m. a Tennessee driver was cited for 82 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 20 at 4:29 p.m. a Pennsylvania driver was cited for 81 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 20 at 4:00 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 87 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near LIV 259.

October 23 at 1:40 p.m. an Indiana driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 23 at 2:10 p.m. an Alabama driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 23 at 2:58 p.m. a St. Louis driver was cited for 86 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 23 at 3:25 p.m. a Centralia, MO driver was cited for 86 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 23 at 4:02 p.m. a Chicago, IL driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 27 at 1:30 p.m. a Chillicothe driver was cited for 72 in a 55 on Highway 190 at LIV 529.

October 27 at 3:28 p.m. a Liberty driver was cited for 88 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Highway CC.

October 28 at 12:50 p.m. an Indiana driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 28 at 1:55 p.m. a Steelville driver was cited for 82 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 28 at 2:14 p.m. a Kansas City driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

October 28 at 2:30 p.m. a Kansas driver was cited for 82 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville Junction.

Our goal is to see that everyone gets home safely while educating motorists of the traffic dangers and laws through various enforcement actions.
