March 11 Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) initiated an investigation of possible registration violation on a child sex offender.  The suspect had been most recently registered in another county and was observed in Livingston County.  Additional information led our office to the 700 block of Clay Street in Chillicothe and we obtained information that alleged the suspect had been living there since near the end of February 2020, was allegedly living in a prohibited location and had not registered showing a change of address.

LCSO arrested Charles Spencer Henson, 30, on alleged felony violation for failing to register as a sex offender.  Mr. Henson was also arrested on two outstanding Trenton Municipal arrest warrants being for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on Stealing and Failure to Appear in Court on Traffic Offense.  Mr. Henson was incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail and later charged in Livingston County Associate Court with alleged felony Sex Offender Registration Violation and has been released on bond since March 18, 2020.

Mr. Henson is required to register due to 2012 felony conviction of Statutory Rape-2nd degree in Livingston County.

Mr. Henson was convicted in January 2015 of Failure to Register as Sex Offender in Livingston County.

Mr. Henson was convicted on January 14, 2020 for Failure to Register as Sex Offender in Carroll County and received a 4 year suspended sentence and placed on probation for 5 years.

Excellent work by Deputy Brad Aldrich and Detective Ryan Ford of the LCSO on this investigation.
