December 28, 2020 the Livingston County Sheriff's Office received notice that a local citizen received an electronic message informing them their concealed carry permit was about to expire.  The message was to download something to renew their CCW permit.

This is a SCAM as the LCSO and no known Missouri Sheriff will contact you in this manner about your concealed carry permit.

If you are the victim of a scam and are out money or your identity you should notify your local law enforcement agency.  If you merely received this type of message simply delete it.

Be cautious, stay informed and be safe.
