Eric Nelson McKinney, 44, originally registered with the Livingston County Sheriff's Office in November 2020.  Mr. McKinney had been convicted of the following violations which mandated he register with the LCSO upon moving here:

2000 conviction in Grant County, Washington, 3rd degree Child Molestation.  Victim was 15 year old female child.

Lincoln County, MO conviction May 2011 for Failing to Register as Sex Offender 2nd offense.

Warrenton County, MO conviction April 2017 for Failing to Register as Sex Offender.

LCSO began investigation on Mr. McKinney soon after he registered with this office due to concerns of false information on his registration.  LCSO has probable cause to believe Mr. McKinney did not reside in the home he claimed amongst other issues and upon completion of that investigation we sought an arrest warrant.  Mr. McKinney had fled not just Livingston County but the State of Missouri and was found by law enforcement in Oklahoma.  LCSO will extradite Mr. McKinney at first opportunity once his waiver has been signed.

LCSO is currently speaking with the U.S. Marshalls Office for potential consideration of adopting this case as a federal violation due to the criminal history and non-compliance with registration requirements in addition to leaving the state.
