The Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) was recently awarded 6 Preliminary Breath Testing (PBT) instruments on a grant application to the Missouri Department of Transportation Highway Safety and Traffic Division.

The PBT instruments are assigned to road patrol deputy sheriffs to assist with DWI investigations and can be a vital tool with enforcement.  The LCSO also normally receives several thousand dollars in grant money each year which can only be used for deputy sheriff overtime to work assigned traffic safety projects.

Chief Deputy Michael Claypole was the grant author and is in the photo with the PBT instrument.  We appreciate MoDOT for the support and equipment.
