At approximately 04:00 PM, Chief Maples and Sheriff Cox conducted registered sex offender compliance check in the 300 block of Business 36 highway.  As a result of this investigation, the Chief and Sheriff identified and arrested a 71 year old male in reference to this investigation.  This male allegedly exposed himself to juveniles in two different locations in Chillicothe.  The male was processed and transported to the Daviess/DeKalb Regional Jail pending the filing of formal charges through the Livingston County Associate Court. Officers have been working diligently on this investigation in an attempt to solve this case.  If you have had this happen to you and you have not reported this, please contact the Chillicothe Police Department for further investigation.  The male is from the State of Georgia and his original charge of child pornography is out of DeKalb County, Missouri.  I am proud of our staff for diligently working this case and for stopping these actions from occurring in our jurisdiction.  Great teamwork by all."
