Incidents, Arrests and MORE Public Information

Incident Reports:

October 12 about 5:46 p.m. LCSO responded to the railroad overpass east of Chillicothe on U.S. 36 as a person reported multiple kids throwing rocks and railroad spikes from the bridge onto the roadway.  The deputy observed 3 juveniles flee upon his arrival and located them together a short distance away.  The deputy involved the parents who were very understanding and unhappy with what the children had done.  Parents had their children assist the deputy in cleaning the roadway in a safe manner.  Information being sent to the juvenile office.

October 15 about 1:57 p.m. LCSO was dispatched to a location in the 19000 block of LIV 439 near Dawn for an unresponsive man in need of emergency medical care.  Deputy Wilson was firsts on scene and provided CPR but the man had passed.  Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family friends and other loved ones.

October 20 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office regarding an assault at CHS which involved a juvenile as the alleged aggressor.  Parents, School Administration and Juvenile Officer have been notified and school administration is handling administrative duties and the incident report is being submitted to the Juvenile Office.

October 21 afternoon LCSO responded to a disturbance in Mooresville.  This was found to be a domestic disturbance and the female was directed to leave the other persons home and property.  Investigation continues.

October 22 LCSO opened an investigation into a registered sex offender allegedly having secondary address(es) that are not being reported and at least one in violation of a proximity law to a day care.  The offender has been informed of this and directed to avoid that area.  Incident report will be submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration.

October 22 at 5:18 p.m. LCSO responded to the 7000 block of LIV 239 as it was reported an adult male was intoxicated on alcohol and drugs and being violent acting destroying property.  Contact was made, damage observed to a window, no prosecution requested but all parties agreed to separate for the night to calm the situation.

October 23 at 5:11 p.m. LCSO handled a domestic disturbance in the 400 block of Walnut Street for the Chillicothe Police Department and their officers were actively involved in other calls for service.  Disturbance was found to be verbal in nature between siblings over paying a phone bill and some of the money missing.  Situation handled no arrests needed.

October 23 LCSO began an investigation of Domestic Assault west of Chillicothe.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Joshua Reeter, 31, Chillicothe, for alleged Domestic Assault and was incarcerated in the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.  Mr. Reeter posted bond and was released from jail on October 24 pending court appearance.

October 23 LCSO began an investigation on violation of a protection order.  Multiple people have been talked to and report was submitted to the prosecuting attorney.

October 24 about 6:58 p.m. LCSO took report of property damage just east of Chillicothe on report that someone had just driven through their freshly planted wheat field after the heavy rain.  Further investigation led to a vehicle stop in Chillicothe and the arrest of Gage Steven Hughes, 19, Chillicothe for the alleged Property Damage.  Mr. Hughes was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released pending court appearance.

October 25 LCSO began investigation of alleged Violation of Protection Order in the south part of the county.  Various acts allegedly violated the court order and upon further investigation LCSO obtain an arrest warrant and arrested the suspect on October 27.

October 26 at 9:29 a.m. LCSO began an investigation on Violation of a Protection Order.  The suspect had been served the order previously and informed to not have any type of contact with the petitioner.  The suspect was allegedly text messaging the petitioner.  Suspect was contacted and informed to immediately stop violating the protection order and the report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney.

 

Arrests:

October 20 LCSO arrested Megan Marie Maggard, 34, Springfield, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class E felony Operating Motor Vehicle without a license 3rd offense or more. 

October 20 LCSO arrested Marilyn Marshall, 76, Chillicothe, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.  Ms. Marshall was taken to DDRJ in lieu of $10,000 bond.

October 20 LCSO arrested Jamie Dawn Hughes, 32, Norborne, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bond was set at $10,000 and Ms. Hughes was transferred to DDRJ.

October 23 at 4:31 a.m. LCSO stopped a vehicle on U.S> 36 for excessive speed and stop resulted in the arrest of Carlos E. Coronado-DeLeon, 25, Kansas City for alleged excessive speed and driving without a license-2nd offense.  Mr. Coronado-DeLeon was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons.

October 23 about 8:49 a.m. LCSO arrested Miranda Diane Schneider, 41, Chillicothe, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on 2 counts class A misdemeanor of Non-Support.  Ms. Schneider was transferred to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of $2,500 bond.

October 23 about 9:02 a.m. LCSO arrested Timothy Joe Ashlock, 46, Chillicothe in the 1000 block of S. Washington Street on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class A misdemeanor Stealing.  Mr. Ashlock was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and taken to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of $1000 bond.

October 24 about 10:23 a.m. LCSO arrested Scott Joseph Purscell, 40, Chillicothe in the 400 block of Webster on a Chillicothe Municipal arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original Failing to Yield After Stopping to Vehicle that Entered Intersection.  Mr. Purscell was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released after posting bond.

October 24 about 10:42 a.m. LCSO arrested Daniel Lee Buttmann, 35, Chillicothe in the 10000 block of LIV 228 on Chillicothe Municipal arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original Ordinance violation of Expired Plates.  Mr. Buttmann was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released after posting bond.

October 27 LCSO arrested Brandon A. Locker, 46, Dawn, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class A misdemeanor Violation of Protection Order-Adult.  Mr. Locker was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and transferred to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of $15,000 bond.

 

Citations:

October 19 at 3:11 p.m. a Chillicothe driver was cited for Failure to Register Motor Vehicle Annually with DOR for having expired 2016 license plates.

October 19 at 4:00 p.m. a Pennsylvania driver was cited for 80 in a 60 on Highway 65 and LIV 204.

October 19 at 6:59 p.m. a deputy responded to U.S. 36 west of Chillicothe on a complaint of a careless and imprudent driver coming into the county from Caldwell County.  The deputy found the speeding vehicle and issued the Camden driver a citation for 76 in a 65 and a Careless and Imprudent citation based on the witness information.

October 22, at 11:45 p.m. a Georgia driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near LIV 247.

October 23 at 1:33 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 94 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville Junction.

October 25 at 4:22 p.m. a Kansas City Kansas driver was cited for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mitchell Road.

October 27 at 7:25 a.m. a Chillicothe driver was cited for 52 in a 25 on Third Street at Dickinson.

October 27 at 7:35 a.m. a Chillicothe man was cited for 47 in a 25 on Washington Street at Third Street.

 

Additional Information:

October 19 LCSO extradited Robyn Gentry, 27, from the Boone County Sheriff on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original charge of Non-Support.  Ms. Gentry was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

October 24 LCSO took part in spotter activation for serious storms in our area and then assisted residents in the north east part of the county with storm damage.

October 26 LCSO administrative staff attended E-911 board meeting at Chillicothe City Hall.

LCSO has been busy assisting agencies on fire emergencies, traffic accidents, criminal investigations and fugitive information.

LCSO has recently had a majority of our staff receive 6 hours re-certification training on TASER and 4 hours training on Firearms and qualifications.

LCSO has been busy with various criminal and fugitive investigations and assisting other agencies on the same including criminal suspect and witness interviews.

LCSO currently has 47 people in custody.
