Incident Reports:

November 22 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis began investigation of alleged assault involving multiple juveniles at Chillicothe High School.  Parents, School Administration and Juvenile Office are now involved.

November 22 about 7:51 p.m. LCSO located a distraught adult in the river bottoms who was reportedly armed with a handgun and suicidal.  Officers worked with the person on receiving mental help and other services.

November 27 at 4:35 p.m. LCSO responded to the 800 block of Cherry in Mooresville for a reported burglary and theft.  Investigation shows victim claims 3 pair of earrings and a Cameo pen were taken.  Investigation continues.

November 29 at 2:15 p.m. LCSO responded to a domestic violence call from a 3rd party not at the scene of an alleged domestic assault reportedly taking place in Utica.  LCSO contacted both adults reported to be involved and this was determined to be a very disagreement only and no crime had taken place.

December 01 around 4:15 p.m. LCSO and Chillicothe PD responded to help a resident just north of the city limits where juvenile child had reportedly ran away from the home.  CPD used their drone in attempt to check some brushy area in that vicinity.  Search took place and the child returned home by 5:30 p.m.   Information being shared with juvenile office.

December 02 LCSO completing an investigation into harassment/peace disturbance on a Caldwell County man for allegedly making multiple requests recently for LCSO to check well-being of his child(ren) in rural Livingston County.  There allegedly has not been a factual basis for these requests and appears to be a form of only harassment to the former spouse and child(ren) in the home.  Incident report will be forwarded to the prosecuting attorney and probation/parole officer.

Arrested November 20:

Cheri Dawn Admire, 50, arrested by Pettis County authorities on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Financial Exploitation of an Elder/Disabled Person.  Ms. Admire was extradited on November 22 and taken to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

Added November 22, 2021:

Derick James Rautanen, 19, Brookfield, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original 2 counts class E felony DWI-Physical Injury.  Bond set at $20,000 on case #21LV-CR00372-01.  UPDATE:  Mr. Rautanen was checked at 80 in a 60 on U.S. 65 by MSHP on 11-23-2021.  After stop suspect fled on foot but was soon caught by Sgt. Woelfle of the LCSO.  Suspect allegedly found in possession of controlled substance.  Taken to jail with more charge(s) anticipated.

Vernon Wayne Hines, 33, Avalon, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bond set at $25,000 on case #21LV-CR00505 as LCSO Jail records show Mr. Hines was originally arrested and incarcerated on this warrant October 12-15, 2021 and released on R.O.R. bond.  A second warrant has been issued for Mr. Hines for alleged class E felony crime of Failing to Appear in Court and that bond is set at $2,500 on case #21LV-CR00573.

Added November 23:

Gilbert Garcia, 63, Rockaway Beach, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class C felony Receiving Stolen Property.  Bond set at $20,000 on case #16LV-CR00570-01.

Karen Wilson, 25, Cowgill, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Stealing-$750 or More and class E felony Hindering Prosecution in a Felony.  Bond set at $15,000 on case #21LV-CR00594.

Arrested November 29:

Bradley S. Stubbs, 34, by Greene County authorities on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class D felony Non-Support, Total Arrears in Excess of 12 Monthly Payments Due Under Order of Support.   LCSO will extradite at earliest opportunity.

Arrested December 03:

Eryka L. Bash, 22, by authorities in Clay County who was wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class C felony Stealing $25,000 or more and class E felony Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop Creating Substantial Risk of Serious Injury or Death to Any Person.  Bond set at $20,000 cash on case #21LV-CR00544.  Ms. Bash will be extradited to DDRJ at earliest opportunity.

 

Other Arrests:

November 21 at 2:45 p.m. LCSO arrested Jason Daniel Greer Jr., 41, Chillicothe, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class B misdemeanor Trespassing-1st degree, class B misdemeanor Peace Disturbance-first offense and class A misdemeanor Resisting/Interfering with Arrest.  Mr. Greer was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on bond.

November 23 at 3:12 p.m. LCSO checked a vehicle at 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 and the vehicle finally stopped for the officer.  The Pennsylvania driver admitted she had a suspended driver's license.  A drug odor was emitting from the vehicle and the owner/passenger appeared intoxicated on drug(s).  Stop resulted in the arrest of Stacia Marie Thornton, 31, Harrisburg PA for alleged Excessive Speed and Driving While Suspended.  The vehicle owner was cited for allowing a person to drive who had no legal right.  The driver posted bond and was processed at the LCSO and then released on summons.  The passenger was advised not to drive for 8 hours due to her intoxication.  A misdemeanor amount of marijuana was seized and will be destroyed upon court order.

November 24 at 10:10 a.m. LCSO arrested Michelle Lee Booth, 39, Chillicothe on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge's Order on original class A misdemeanor Assault-4th degree.  Ms. Booth was transported to DDRJ and ordered to serve 48 hours by the court.

November 24 at 5:05 p.m. Alicia Ann Smith, 44, Chillicothe surrendered to the Law Enforcement Center and was arrested by a deputy on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on original class D misdemeanor of No Auto Insurance.  Ms. Smith posted the $200 bond and was provided a new court date.

November 27 at 9:55 p.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle on Highway 65 and Route K for a traffic violation(s).  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Curtis J. Schrader, 26, Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Suspended and Driving While Intoxicated-prior offender.  Mr. Schrader was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons.

November 27 at 1:06 a.m. a deputy stopped a vehicle for turning violation and subsequent investigation resulted in the arrest of Joseph Allen Crowe, 23, Avalon for alleged Driving While Intoxicated.  Mr. Crowe was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons.

November 28 LCSO arrested Abby Louise Cooley, 36, Des Moines Iowa on a Missouri Probation/Parole warrant.  Ms. Cooley was transported to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

December 01 at 8:43 a.m. LCSO arrested Sasha M. Campos, 41, Hale on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Failure to Appear in Court.  Ms. Campos appeared before the court and was released on bond.

 

Citations:

November 19 at 3:00 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 85 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near LIV 261.

November 19 at 3:44 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Medicine Creek.

November 19 at 4:28 p.m. an Indiana driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Utica.

November 20 at 11:50 p.m. an Overland Park driver was cited for 78 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Utica Junction.

November 21 at 11:50 a.m. a Kansas driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

November 21 at 2:01 p.m. a Winfield MO driver was cited for 82 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at LIV 269.

November 22 at 8:11 a.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mitchell Road.

November 24 at 9:03 p.m. an Indiana driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Mooresville.

December 01 at 4:15 p.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36.

 

Additional Information:

November 19 a deputy was serving court process and found a stolen vehicle in the 400 block of Grandview.  Chillicothe Police were notified of the location of their recently reported stolen vehicle and the deputy assisted in taking two people into custody.  Arrested were Mercedes Shyanne Norris, 19, for alleged Tampering with Motor Vehicle and Possession of Methamphetamine and Craig Herbert Wilson Jr., 20, for alleged Tampering with Motor Vehicle. 

November 20 at 2:30 a.m. on Highway H a deputy was on patrol when a small deer ran into the driver side of the patrol vehicle.  Minimal damage was done to our equipment.

November 21 a deputy assisted the Chillicothe Police with a fraud investigation.  A fraudulent credit device was seized and one suspect interviewed. 

November 22 LCSO extradited a prisoner from the Pettis County Sheriff and transferred that person to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

November 23 LCSO transported two male detainees from DDRJ to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph.  DDRJ is transporting the two Livingston County female detainees to Vandalia in the near future.

December 01 a fugitive was extradited from Greene County Jail to DDRJ.

December 02 two of our female detainees were taken to Missouri Department of Corrections in Vandalia by Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail.

LCSO has been busy assisting on motor vehicle crashes, assisting motorists, and other agencies.

LCSO staff has had a significant amount of time working in court with various judges and cases.

Currently the LCSO has 42 people in custody.
