Incident Reports:

November 29 LCSO assisted another agency as information came in regarding a possible child sex offense in another county.  Information was collected and shared with respective jurisdiction.

December 02 about 2:24 p.m. LCSO responded to Chula School on report a student had left school property without permission and was unable to be located.  The student was located prior to arrival and parents are aware of the incident.

December 03 about 10:31 p.m. LCSO received calls of mailboxes that had been run over by a vehicle on LIV 233.  Information was also obtained of a Livingston County road sign that was ran over on LIV 237.  Investigation resulted in deputies locating and arresting Roger Dale Cain Jr., 22, Chillicothe for alleged C&I driving and leaving the scene with alcohol involved.  Mr. Cain was processed at the Law Enforcement Center.

December 03 LCSO completed an incident report on an Illinois man who allegedly failed to appear in Livingston County Court on a felony allegation.  The report will be reviewed by Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for consideration of additional criminal charge.

December 04 about 1:45 p.m. LCSO and MSHP responded to a location in Wheeling on possible suicidal and angry person.  Investigation shows there was no intent on harming anyone or themselves, that the person involved had been upset earlier in the day and matter resolved with additional services being referred.  CIT form completed.

December 04 LCSO responded to location near Blue Mound as property owner found an ATV in an outbuilding on their property that did not belong there.  Investigation shows concern the ATV is stolen.  ATV has been towed from the scene and investigation continues.

December 05 LCSO recovered a loaded handgun found in a vehicle by the new owner.  Investigation continues.

December 06 rural resident reported finding a cell phone on their private property.  Investigation continues.

December 06 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed report with this office regarding reported incident at Chillicothe High School where a juvenile student allegedly made disturbing comment in open class to harm another student then recanted their statement.  School officials are taking administrative action, juvenile office and parents are involved.

December 06 LCSO responded to a location in the 23000 block of LIV 391.  Victim reported new home had forced entry and someone went through the residence.  Investigation continues.

December 09 LCSO completed an incident report seeking additional felony charge on a Chillicothe man for allegedly failing to appear in court.  The suspect was incarcerated November 23 and appeared via video before the judge and was released on ROR bond but required to appear in person December 09.  That suspect did not appear and we are seeking a second warrant for his arrest.

December 13 LCSO responded to the 14000 block of LIV 261 as unknown person(s) trespassed onto business property and stole two catalytic converters from parked vehicles.  The thieves are most likely the same people involved in a similar incident in Chillicothe around the same time.  Investigations continue.

December 13 LCSO responded to a home in the 12000 block of LIV 202 where one or more burglars entered an unoccupied home and removed multiple firearms and a small lock box.  This was a day time home invasion and the investigation is continuing.

 

Most Wanted Updates:

Arrested December 04:

Sterling Joe Blakeley, 52, Breckenridge, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant since July 2021 for alleged class D Possession of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.  Bond set at $10,000 on case #21LV-CR00323.

Arrested December 08:

Bruce Allen Bosley, 33, Chillicothe, surrendered to Chillicothe Police on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class D felony Abuse/Neglect of a Child under section 568.060.5(1)- no sexual contact.  Bond set at $3,500 on case #21LV-CR00563.  Mr. Bosley posted bond and was provided an appearance date for court.

Arrested December 09:

Traci N. Yates, 47, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Terrorist Threat-1st degree.

Gilbert Garcia, 63, Rockaway Beach, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class C felony Receiving Stolen Property. 

Added December 15:

Kenten M. Williams, 52, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class C felony Delivery of Controlled Substance-Methamphetamine.  Bond set at $20,000 on case #20LV-CR00309-01.

Christopher M. Rader, 42, Tina, wanted on 2 Livingston County arrest warrants.  Warrant 21LV-CR00628 is for alleged class D felony Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and class E felony Tampering with Physical Evidence in Felony Prosecution.  Bond set at $5,000.  Second warrant being 19LV-CR00716-01 is for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bond set at $20,000 cash.

 

Other Arrests:

December 01 about 9:33 a.m. LCSO arrested Lacey Leanne Stith, 35, Dawn, on Livingston County arrest warrant(s) for alleged Failure to Appear in Court on Infraction of Display/Possess Motor Vehicle Plates of Another Person and Failure to Appear on original class B misdemeanor Failure to Register Motor Vehicle.  Ms. Stith was released on bond with a new court date.

December 04 at 12:29 a.m. LCSO responded to the 10000 block of Liv 239 on a suspicious person call.  Deputy located a picking with a mailbox and post stuck under the vehicle.  The driver was interviewed and deputy subsequently arrested John Lee Murphy Jr., 59, Chula for alleged Driving While Intoxicated.  Mr. Murphy has made arrangements to repair/replace the mailbox/post with the owner(s).

December 09 LCSO arrested Rhonda J. Hargrave, 46, Chillicothe, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Probation Violation on original class E felony DWI-Persistent Offender.  Alleged probation violation is by alcohol consumption.

December 03 at 3:06 p.m. An Omaha NE driver was cited for 84 in a 65 on U.S. 36.

December 03 at 3:42 p.m. a St. Peters driver was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Wheeling.

December 06 at 3:02 p.m. a Macon driver was cited for 83 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near the Airport.

December 06 at 3:19 p.m. a Michigan driver traveling from south west Kansas to Michigan was cited for 80 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at LIV 255.

December 06 at 3:42 p.m. a young Meadville driver was cited for 90 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Blackwell Creek and admitted to having been on her cell phone while driving fast.

December 07 at 5:09 a.m. a Chillicothe driver was cited in Dawn for 57 in a 35.

December 08 at 5:05 p.m. a vehicle stop on Liv 256 resulted in the arrest of William Zachary Gentile, 23, Chillicothe on 2 Brookfield Municipal arrest warrants for alleged nuisance violations with total bond of $170.  Mr. Gentile also received summons for not registering the motor vehicle and no insurance.  Mr. Gentile was turned over to Linn County authorities as he was unable to post bond.

December 09 at 10:35 p.m. a Braymer driver was cited for 53 in a 35 in Dawn.

December 09 at 8:42 p.m. a Chillicothe man was cited for 91 in a 65 on U.S. 36.

December 15 at 10:00 a.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 88 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at Utica.

December 15 at 10:17 a.m. an Illinois driver was cited for 86 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Wheeling.

December 15 at 1:49 p.m. a Wichita Kansas driver was cited for 88 in a 65 on U.S. 36 near Mooresville.

 

Additional Information:

LCSO has been short on staff for several days due to medical leave by multiple employees.

December 14 LCSO transported 6 male detainees to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph.

Currently the LCSO has 46 people in custody.
