The Livingston County Sheriff's Office began an investigation soon after Jonathan Patrick Patterson, 24, first registered with this office on January 03, 2022.  Mr. Patterson was convicted in Livingston County Court in October 2016 for Promoting Sexual Performance of a Child.  Mr. Patterson disclosed on that registration the victims were ages 2 and 5 at the time of offense in July 2016.

Mr. Patterson's family checked with Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox prior to Mr. Patterson returning to Livingston County about a specific location and the family was informed Mr. Patterson would not be allowed to reside there due to close proximity to day care.  Soon after Mr. Patterson registered that he was staying at a local motel.

LCSO had reason to believe Mr. Patterson left that motel within days and we have been conducting an investigation on this.  The afternoon of January 12, LCSO arrested Jonathan Patrick Patterson for alleged felony Failing to Register as a Sex Offender.  Mr. Patterson is being processed at the LEC and will be transferred to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail pending filing of formal charge(s).  Mr. Patterson's original case in Livingston County Circuit Court was 16LV-CR00355-01.

We are interested n hearing from you if you have information on what Mr. Patterson was doing during the last several days.  Please call us at 660-646-0515, dispatch at 660-646-2121 or submit a TIP through our website at www.livcoso.org.
