Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) Closes 2021 Budgets with Surplus

The LCSO returned funds to the county in all but one of our budgets for 2021:

Budget                                  Percent Used       Unused Balance

County Revenue Sheriff           95.71%                  $33,025

County Revenue Jail                73.67%                  $175,288

Law Enforcement Training        96.72%                  $144

Inmate Security                       100%                     $0.00

LEST Sheriff                            98.36%                  $4012

LEST Jail                                 95.81%                  $4484

CCW                                       74.47%                  $974

Civil                                        34.16%                  $14,977

                                               Total returned:      $232,904

The LCSO works very well with the County Commissioners on our budget and we strive to remain within the boundaries we are given.  We appreciate all the help from Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail Administration and staff, and all our local elected officials we have opportunity to work with.

Note:  The Inmate Security budget is funded through the court process and each year that money is strictly dedicated to helping with the costs of detainee health care.
