Incident Reports:

March 01 LCSO began investigation on Child Sex Offender allegedly not properly registering with the LCSO.  Report will be submitted to prosecuting attorney for consideration.

March 01 and LCSO office submitted affidavit to the court and a 96 hour order was issued to take an adult to a treatment facility for mental health issues and concerns of harm.

March 02 Sgt. Woelfle was traveling on Bryan Street when a vehicle traveling north on Edgewood at a very excessive rate of speed went through the intersection nearly striking our patrol vehicle.  The driver failed to initially stop for the deputy and when stopped the investigation revealed a juvenile too young to be driving had allegedly stolen a relative's vehicle.  Multiple other juvenile passengers were also present.  A handgun, marijuana and vaping items were also recovered.  Parent(s) and juvenile officer were notified and the juvenile office is now handling the matter.  Fortunately there was not an accident or injuries.

This month Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office on a Chillicothe Student that was having some type of problem at school.  During intervention interview the student reported being suicidal and intending on self-harm.  The parent was contacted and student taken to professional health care provider.  A Crisis Intervention Team report was submitted.

March 04 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office regarding an assault between two juveniles on Chillicothe School property.  Parents, school officials and juvenile office have been made aware of the situation and are following procedures.

Added March 01, 2022:

Jared A. Vanhorn, unknown address, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 22LV-CR00056 for alleged class E felony Non-Support, Total Arrears in Excess of 12 Monthly Payments Due Under Order of Support.  Bond set at $5,000 cash.

Robyn Mariah Ann Gentry, 28, Kansas City, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 21LV-CR00480 for alleged class E felony Non-Support, Total Arrears in Excess of 12 Monthly Payments Due Under Order of Support.  Bond set at $2,500 cash.

David Edward Buesing, 33, Raytown, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 22LV-CR00037 for alleged class E felony Non-Support, Total Arrears in Excess of 12 Monthly Payments Due Under Order of Support.  Bond set at $2,500 cash.

Update:  Arrested by CPD March 03, 2022.  Gina E. Elam, 35, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 21LV-CR00435 for alleged 2 counts class A misdemeanor Non-Support.  Bond set at $1,500 cash.

Added March 08:

James E. Laughlin, 32, unknown location, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 20LV-CR00308-01 for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bond set at $20,000.

Anna Katherine Wader, 19, Carrollton, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 20LV-CR00154-01 for alleged Probation Violation on original class D felony Possession of Controlled Substance.  Bone set at $20,000.

Larry E. Shultz, 37, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 22LV-CR00074-01 for alleged Violation of Bond Conditions on original class D felony Burglary-2nd degree, class D felony Stealing $750 or more, and class E felony Property Damage-1st degree.  Mr. Shultz was released from jail on March 02, 2022 on ROR bond on this case and this warrant was issued March 04, 2022 for the alleged Violation of Bond Conditions.

Cheri Dawn Admire, 50, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 21LV-CR00560-01 for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge's Order on original class D felony Financial Exploitation of an Elder/disabled Person.  Bond set at $20,000 cash.

Added March 11:

Todd Michael Buss, 58, Chillicothe, wanted on Livingston County arrest warrant 22LV-CR00127 for alleged Rape or Attempted Rape-1st degree, bond denied by the court.

 

Other Arrests:

February 28 at 11:32 a.m.  LCSO arrested Cornelius Jerome Merriweather, 36, Chillicothe on an arrest warrant from the State of Iowa for alleged felony Probation Warrant on original Larceny violation.  Mr. Merriweather was transferred to DDRJ pending extradition to Iowa.

March 03 LCSO arrested Ezra Alexis Eads, 54, Wheeling, on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged class E felony Driving While Revoked/Suspended.  Mr. Eads was transferred to DDRJ.

March 10 Terrance Raymond Feeney, 60, Chillicothe, surrendered to the Sheriff's Office on warrant 22LV-CR00128 for alleged class D felony DWI-Aggravated Offender.  Mr. Feeney was processed and released on bond.

March 10 LCSO arrested Annabelle E. Baker, 23, Chillicothe and Chester Cornell Ashford, 25, Chillicothe on Livingston County arrest warrants for alleged Abuse/neglect of a Child.  Bond set at $10,000 and both were taken to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

 

Citations:

February 28 at 3:24 p.m. an Excelsior Springs driver was cited for 79 in a 65 on U.S. 36 at the Airport.

February 28 at 11:47 p.m. a Chillicothe driver was cited for 68 in a 35 on Washington Street at Green Street.

 

Additional Information:

March 02 LCSO transported 3 men to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph.

March 03 was law day in Circuit Court.  Judge Horsman requested a drug screen on a female defendant.  Before a sample could be collected the person fled the courthouse.  A warrant has been or will be issued for her arrest.

March 08 LCSO towed a pickup that had been left on Highway 190.

LCSO has been extremely busy with vehicle accidents, assisting stranded motorists, and assisting other agencies this week.

Chief Deputy Michael Claypole attended the Wheeling Town meeting on March 09.

March 11 LCSO transported Cassie Leeper to the Missouri Department of Corrections in Vandalia and extradited Megan Maggard from DOC on Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged Traffic Offense.  Ms. Maggard was transported to Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail in lieu of bond.

MArch 11 LCSO had 50 detainees in custody.

LCSO has remained busy with calls for service, investigations, assisting other agencies, and fugitive investigations.

Reminder to check your CCW permits and get renewed if you are expired.  Anyone expired 6 months or longer has to be fingerprinted and have the criminal history done again.
