On Tuesday, September 20, 2022 Associate Court in session on an adult abuse petition hearing.  Shortly after court started the judge ordered Sheriff Cox take Marty J. Thorne, 52, Chula into custody for Contempt of Court.

Mr. Thorne was refusing to be civil and follow court rules, instead Mr. Thorne continued running his mouth and would not follow the judges repeated instructions.

Mr. Thorne was removed from the courthouse and taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center to serve 2 days.

The best advice is if you are in court to have your attorney handle the matter or at least follow the court rules and judges orders.
