We have received calls today regarding citizens being contacted on a somewhat unusual type of scam claiming to be a person in law enforcement and having removed their loved one from a nursing home. 

The number being that was used shows as a 660-240-XXXX number but when that number is called back a recording promptly directs the caller to "press "1" to leave a message or press "0" to speak with an operator".  Upon pressing "0" the call was transferred to our Law Enforcement Center dispatch office here in Chillicothe.

This is a SCAM and the creeps are utilizing local agency information in attempt to swindle you out of your money.  Be smart, keep your money and simply hang up on these criminals!
