Deputy Sheriff Caleb Smith

 

The Livingston County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) is pleased to announce the appointment of Caleb Smith as road patrol deputy sheriff for Livingston County.

Caleb was hired early December 2022 and is now a certified peace officer in Missouri.


Here is a little background on Deputy Smith:

Caleb was born in St. Joseph, MO and graduated from De Kalb High School in 2018. After graduating from high school, he attended Northwest Missouri State University to pursue a degree in Psychology with a minor in General Business where he was active in many mental health organizations. During this time, he worked as a dispatcher for the NWMS University Police Department as well as being a Corrections Officer at Maryville Treatment Center. Caleb attended the Missouri Western State University Law Enforcement Academy and graduated in December 2022 with having received the Top Academic Award for the class.

In his spare time, Caleb enjoys riding his motorcycle around with his group of friends. When he is not riding his motorcycle, he often goes to the gym to work out and has a strong interest in astrophotography.
