Livingston County Detainee Passes Away in Randolph County

12/29/2022

December 27, 2023 Detention/Transport Officer for LCSO was at the Randolph County Jail and soon learned a female Livingston County detainee was suffering a significant medical issue.  The jail staff and nurse performed CPR and used AED equipment until an ambulance arrived and then continued assisting emergency medical personnel in getting to the hospital while providing urgent medical assistance.  Randolph County Sheriff Aaron Wilson informed our office that Cheri Dawn Admire, 51, had passed away at the hospital at 2:33 p.m.

Ms. Admire was being held in the Randolph County Detention Center lieu of bond on a Livingston County arrest warrant for alleged felony Financial Exploitation of the Elderly.  Ms. Admire had been in custody since March 28, 2022 after having allegedly failed to obey a judge's order while on bond.  Ms. Admire had maintained her innocence and a jury trial had previously been scheduled for February 21, 2023.

Randolph County authorities are continuing with an investigation and an autopsy is scheduled.  Requests for additional information should be made to Randolph County Sheriff Aaron Wilson.

Sheriff Cox was able to notify a family member soon thereafter.  Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family and other loved ones.
