Bad Choices = Arrest & Incarceration

09/11/2023

September 09 about 2:23 p.m. LCSO deputy observed a man driving a vehicle on Washington Street in Chillicothe who does not have a driver's license.  The female deputy stopped the vehicle near Curtis Street and the male confirmed he is not supposed to be driving, was placed under arrest as this was the alleged 4th offense (felony violation) and the driver chose to resist arrest by remaining in his vehicle, rolling up the windows and locking the doors.  The deputy attempted to reason with the subject and called for additional assistance as the driver would not comply.  After a lengthy amount of time the driver, Juan Garcia Flores, 37, Chula, exited the vehicle and was placed in custody and transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center for alleged felony Driving Without a Valid License and Resisting Arrest.

Mr. Flores has since been officially charged in Livingston County Associate Court on case #23LV-CR00413 with class A misdemeanor Resisting Arrest with bond set at $2,500.  Mr. Flores was out of jail on bond at this time of this arrest on case #23LV-CR00356 for alleged Rape or Attempted Rape and Domestic Assault-1st.

ICE has notified the LCSO they want a hold placed on Mr. Flores for when Livingston County is done with him as they will deal with his immigration status.
