Report on Incidents, Arrests and other Public Information

Incident Reports:

November 14 LCSO assisted the court with a person who was released on bond with specific bond conditions.  The deputy learned the defendant was not abiding by the required bond conditions and filed a report with the court.

November 17 about 10:53 p.m. LCSO was dispatched to area of LIV 420 and LIV 439 for a UTV accident.  A Polaris razor was removed from the scene by Gabrielson Towing and none of the occupant(s) had remained at the scene.  Alcohol is suspected in being a contributing factor.  The UTV has since been released to the proper owner. 

November 21 Deputy Sheriff/School Resource Officer Mike Lewis filed a report with this office regarding investigation into attempted theft and potential attempted burglary at Chillicothe High School.  A teacher reported entered the empty and darkened classroom and heard a noise, upon turning on the lights, found a juvenile student unlawfully in the room and hiding behind the teacher's desk.  Additional issues suggested the student had been prevented from stealing item(s).  Juvenile office, parent(s) and school administration are handling the issue.

November 25 LCSO responded to the 2000 block of Highway U for an unresponsive senior citizen.  The elderly male was found to be deceased at the scene and preliminary investigation suggests the man passed from natural causes.  The body was released to the deputy coroner.  Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family and other loved ones.

November 26 LCSO began investigation of property damage on or near LIV 515.

November 27 LCSO began investigation of alleged child abuse/neglect and discovered the incident would have occurred in another county.  Information to child abuse hotline and agency with jurisdiction.

 

Other Arrests:

November 14 LCSO arrested Kalie Marie Kuhl, 33, Buffalo, MO on Livingston County arrest warrant #23LV-CR00233 for alleged Failure to Obey a Judge's Order on original 2 counts class D felony Endangering Welfare of a Child.  Ms. Kuhl was processed and released on bond.

November 15 about 3:11 p.m. LCSO made a vehicle stop on U.S. 65 and arrested Brandi O. Peniston, 48, Chillicothe for alleged Driving While Suspended and on Livingston County arrest warrant #23LV-CR00517 for alleged class D felony Stealing-$750 or More.  Ms. Peniston was processed and transferred to the Caldwell County Detention Center.

November 22 about 9:03 a.m. LCSO extradited Joseph Patton Anderson, 59, Brookfield from the Linn County Sheriff on Missouri probation warrant for alleged use of methamphetamine.  Mr. Anderson is currently on probation in Livingston County for Possession of Controlled Substance.  Mr. Anders was transferred to the Caldwell County Detention Center in lieu of bond.

November 22 about 9:22 p.m. LCSO deputy observed a vehicle on Washington Street driving 48 in a 25 near Jackson Street.  The vehicle was stopped and the investigation resulted in the arrest of Rayanna Marsha Word, 20, St. Louis for alleged excessive speed, DWI-Drugs, and Minor in Possession of Marijuana.  Ms. Word was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons.

November 23 about 1:35 a.m. LCSO deputy stopped a vehicle for 19 over the speed limit on Highway 190.  Investigation resulted in the arrest of Klarissa Jo Roberts, 23, Olathe KS for alleged Driving While Intoxicated-Alcohol and Excessive Speed.  Ms. Roberts was processed at the Law Enforcement Center and released on summons.

November 27 about 4:42 p.m. LCSO arrested Ronnie Gene Smith, 45, Chillicothe when Mr. Smith surrendered to this office on Livingston County arrest warrant #23LV-CR00525 for alleged class E felony Domestic Assault-3rd degree.  Mr. Smith was processed at the LEC and released on bond with pending court appearance.

 

Citations:

November 19 at 3:30 p.m. a Missouri driver was cited for 71 in a 55 on Highway 190 at LIV 233 and for Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle with DOR.

 

Additional Information:

November 16 LCSO transported Ryann Gatson and Amanda Scheib to the Missouri Department of Corrections in Vandalia.  We have submitted a cost reimbursement form to the State of Missouri in the amount of $378.04 for this.

November 17 LCSO transported Joseph Kincaid and Steven Sayers to the Missouri Department of Corrections in St. Joseph.  We have submitted a cost reimbursement form to the state of Missouri in the amount of $196.21 for this.

LCSO has assisted with various slide-off accidents, stranded motorists, assisted other agencies, and served much court process while continuing on various investigations.

LCSO is guarding a detainee in an area hospital for a reported medical issue.

Currently the LCSO has 38 people in custody.
