Incident Reports:
November 22nd, LCSO responded to an address in the 12000 block of LIV 424 in reference to an unresponsive elderly person. The person was pronounced deceased at the scene by Coroner Zabka. Our thoughts are with the family.
November 24th, LCSO responded to the 400 block of North Third Street in Wheeling in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon deputy arrival, a suspected person had left the residence. Investigation showed one victim sustained injuries from the incident and formal charges to be sought on the suspect.
November 26th, deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on U.S. 36 near Wheeling when the vehicle fled and led the deputy on a pursuit into Caldwell County. The driver was later identified and led authorities on another pursuit on November 27th where he was eventually taken into custody by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol. Formal charges to be sought in connection to the LCSO pursuit.
November 27th, deputy took a walk in report for harassment on a Dawn resident. Investigation showed the suspect had continually harassed the victim through texts, phone calls and voicemails. Formal charges to be sought for harassment.
November 27th, LCSO responded to the 100 block of South Grant Street in Wheeling due to an active disturbance. The involved persons were separated, and an incident report was completed to be kept on file.
December 2nd, LCSO took a theft report from the 19000 of LIV 351. Investigation showed one firearm was stolen from a residence. A suspect has been identified and formal felony charges are being sought.
December 6th, deputy took a report of a fraud/scam involving a sale of a motor vehicle on Facebook marketplace where scammer sent owner a check and had someone claiming to be doing the shipping of the vehicle collect $500 via Zelle out of the money sent to the owner, and then wanted gift cards, etc. for remainder sent for a total of $1,650. The owner only sent $500 and then became suspicious.
December 10th, deputy responded to a house fire at a residence on LIV 511. 885 found several occupants of the residence and that one was injured from the fire. Fire Marshal Office investigating.
Arrests:
November 20th, William Reed, 40, Chula, turned himself in to the Livingston County Sheriff's Office on an active arrest warrant in reference to case #24LV-CR00556 for property damage first degree. Reed posted $1,000 cash bond and was released with a new court date.
November 24th, Huseyin Das, 48, Turkey, was arrested for traveling 111 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 at LIV 233. Das was processed and released on summons after posting $250 cash bond.
November 25th, Michael Supernaw, 22, Indiana, was arrested for traveling 92 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 at Medicine Creek. Supernaw was processed and released on summons after posting $250 cash bond.
December 4th, Josh Adams, 45, Mississippi, was arrested for traveling 86 MPH in a 60 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 65 near LIV 410. Adams was processed and released on summons after posting $250 cash bond.
December 5th, LCSO arrested Kayla Jones on a Livingston County arrest warrant that was issued in court on the charge of possession of a controlled substance. Jones was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
December 5th, deputies arrested Christopher Brockmeier on a Livingston County arrest warrant that was issued in court for a probation violation on the charge of driving while revoked/suspended. Brockmeier was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
December 5th, LCSO arrested Curtis Bassett on a Livingston County arrest warrant that was issued in court on the charge of driving while revoked/suspended. Curtis was taken to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
December 5th, LCSO arrested Lester Hines on an outstanding Livingston County warrant for possession of a controlled substance. Hines was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
December 11th, LCSO served a warrant issued in court on Ricky Young with an OR bond. OR bond taken and released pending a court appearance on 01/08/2024.
December 14th, LCSO and MSHP went to a residence on LIV 351 to serve a Audrain County arrest warrant on Trent Edwards for felony hit and run. Edwards was arrested by LCSO and was transported to the Caldwell County Detention Center.
December 15th, deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for exceeding the posted speed limit on US 36 near LIV 259 at 91 mph in a 65 mph limit. Driver Jason Mann was arrested for excessive speeding, posted bond and was released with a court date on 01/22/2025.
December 15h, deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near US 36 and LIV 255 driving at 95 mph in 65 mph. Driver Benjamin Gonzalez was arrested for excessive speed, posted bond and was released with a court date on 01/22/2025.
Citations:
November 22nd, Kieffer Holder, 23, Nebraska, was issued a citation for traveling 88 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 near State Highway C.
November 22nd, Megan Nostrand, 21, Illinois, was issued a citation for traveling 82 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 near LIV 257.
November 26th, Michael Parker, 28, Kansas City, was issued a citation for no insurance at Fair Street and Springhill in Chillicothe.
December 13th, deputy 885 issued a speeding ticket to Haimanot Gebre for driving 86 mph when limited to 65 mph on US 36 near LIV 259.
December 15th, deputy issued a speeding ticket to Mariano Cabalen for driving 87 mph when limited to 65 mph on US 36 near the Grand River.
