Reports, Arrests and Citations
Incident Reports:
March 3rd. LCSO began an investigation into several puppies that were dumped off in the 3000 block of LIV 503. Investigation showed that one or more individuals had abandoned the animals near a residence. Fortunately, a citizen took care of the animals and contacted authorities. We were assisted by Chillicothe Animal Control and are seeking formal charges against suspect(s).
March 4th, LCSO assisted Children's Division in an investigation into possible child abuse in Chula. Investigation showed the complaints were unsubstantiated and a report was created to be kept on file.
March 8th, deputy assisted Daviess County authorities with locating a suspect of a theft and hit and run near Jamesport. Deputy was able to conduct a felony traffic stop on the suspect on Missouri Highway 190 near LIV 233 and take him into custody without incident and with help of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
March 9th, deputy took a report on a violation of an ex-parte order from a Livingston County resident. Investigation showed the suspect followed and interacted with the victim's TikTok account. This same suspect already had recent charges for the same offense on the same victim. Formal charges are being sought.
March 10th, LCSO responded to the 4000 block of State Highway Y in reference to an injured deer alive in the roadway. The dear was dispatched, and the roadway was cleared in short order.
Arrests:
March 6th, Robert Sutton, 64, Jamesport, was arrested on two active Livingston County arrest warrants on case #24LV-CR00424-01 and case #24LV-CR00333-01 at the courthouse. Sutton was unable to post required bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.
March 8th, Alyssa Cosio, 20, Michigan, was arrested for traveling 96 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 at Medicine Creek. Cosio was processed and released after posting $250 cash bond.
March 11th, Patrick Oyler, 49, Chillicothe, was arrested on an active Linn County arrest warrant on case #246N-MU00045 in the 100 block of E. Jackson Street in Chillicothe. Oyler posted $59 cash bond and was released with a Linn County court date.
March 13th, Aridel Labrada, 35, Nebraska, was arrested on an active Livingston County arrest warrant on case #704350104 at the courthouse. Labrada posted $250 cash bond and was released with a new court date.
March 14th, Asher Yisrael, 20, St. Louis, was arrested for traveling 96 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 near LIV 403. Yisrael was processed and released on summons after posting $250 cash bond.
Citations:
March 8th, Shondre Johnson, 41, Illinois, was issued a citation for traveling 85 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 near Medicine Creek.
March 14th, Marla Spears, 59, Illinois, was issued a citation for traveling 89 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 near LIV 405.
The LCSO has also responded to MANY fires in the county over the last several weeks and we would like to remind everyone to heed red flag warnings when they are issued and take extra precautions when allowed to burn. Chillicothe and rural fire departments have done excellent in responding and extinguishing these fires.
