Reports, Arrests and Citations

Incident Reports:

March 15th, deputies responded to the railroad in the area of LIV 506 and LIV 503 in reference to a complaint of a dog being tied to the tracks.  Deputies were able to free the animal but were unable to capture it.  No suspects are known at this time.

March 21st, deputies responded to the area of Southbound Washington Street from Missouri highway 190 in reference to a domestic disturbance in a traveling vehicle between two parties.  The vehicle stopped on Washington near Simpson Park and a female suspect was arrested for domestic assault.  Formal charges are pending.

March 21st, LCSO took a walk-in report from a Chula resident for alleged harassment.  Investigation revealed that an individual sent multiple harassing messages via text message to the reporting party.  The suspect was contacted and advised to cease communication with the reporting party to which they agreed.  No charges are pending at this time, and an incident report was completed to be kept on file in case of further issues.

March 21st, deputies responded to the 2000 block of LIV 516 for a domestic disturbance.  Investigation showed a physical altercation took place between two parties and formal charges are being sought.

March 23rd, deputy responded to the 100 block of S. Grant Street in Wheeling for a domestic disturbance.  Nothing criminal was determined to have occurred, and an incident report was completed to be kept on file.

March 25th, deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on U.S. 36 near LIV 261 that was traveling 81 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.  Investigation led to the seizure of marijuana and a firearm possessed by the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, David Jones, 18, Park Hill.  Jones was issued a citation for the speed and formal charges are being sought on unlawful possession of a firearm.

Arrests:

March 21st, Clinton Lewis, 46, Chillicothe, was arrested at the LCSO on an active Livingston County arrest warrant on case #25LV-CR00048.  Lewis was unable to post $25,000 cash bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

March 23rd, Joshua Caudill, 37, Wheeling, was arrested in the 400 block of Market Street in Wheeling on an active Livingston County arrest warrant for case #23LV-CR00412-01.  Caudill was unable to post $20,000 cash bond and was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center.

March 25th, Johnathan Carter, 35, Pevely, was arrested on U.S. Highway 36 near LIV 255 for driving while suspended-first offense.  Pevely was processed and released on summons for the license violation and issued a warning for traveling 85 MPH in a 65 MPH zone.

March 29th, George Brumbaugh, 28, St. Joseph, was arrested on State Highway Z near LIV 416 after leading deputies on a pursuit from U.S. 36 near LIV 255.  Brumbaugh was checked at 89 MPH in a 65 MPH zone and accelerated away from law enforcement until he was taken into custody on Z Highway.  Suspected Methamphetamine paraphernalia was also seized from Brumbaugh who was transported to Caldwell County Detention Center pending formal charges.

Citations:

March 17th, Michael McRoberts, 34, Kansas, was issued a citation for traveling 87 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 at the Grand River.

March 17th, Jeffery Graham, 40, Illinois, was issued a citation for traveling 90 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 at LIV 255.

March 18th, Sione Langi, 66, Brookfield, was issued a citation for traveling 90 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. Highway 36 at LIV 419.

March 17th, Curtis Burton, 35, Chillicothe, was issued a citation for no insurance on U.S. 36 at Mitchell Ave.

March 22nd, Hunter Lewis, 17, Mooresville, was issued a citation for exceeding the posted speed limit by traveling 100 MPH in a 60 MPH zone on U.S. 65 near State Highway K.

March 25th, Alvaro Lopez, 32, Spickard, was issued a citation for traveling 58 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on Washington Street near Sioux Drive in Chillicothe.

March 29th, Jennifer Ahrens, 39, Illinois, was issued a citation for exceeding the posted speed limit by traveling 83 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 near LIV 261.

March 29th, Malik Zuri, 26, Illinois, was issued a citation for exceeding the posted speed limit by traveling 85 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 near LIV 251.

March 30th, Carlos Jiminez, 35, Illinois, was issued a citation for exceeding the posted speed limit by traveling 83 MPH in a 65 MPH zone on U.S. 36 near LIV 419.

March 30th, Lindsey Smith, 30, Jamesport, was issued a citation for exceeding the posted speed limit by traveling 67 MPH in a 55 MPH zone on Missouri Highway 190 near LIV 235.
