On early Sunday Morning the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) was twice dispatched to 2 separate incidents which originated at or close to a business in the 16000 block of Highway K near Chula.

One incident involved multiple people in some type of an altercation. Information is still being gathered on the identities of all involved and statements. This information supports the fight starting inside the business.

The second incident involved an adult male allegedly displaying a handgun in an angry and threatening manner toward multiple people in the parking lot of the business. At some point the man allegedly discharged the firearm and no one was injured. The suspect was gone upon law enforcement's arrival.  That investigation is also actively continuing.

We are hopeful to conclude these 2 investigations as soon as possible and seek criminal charge(s) on those responsible.

The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol initially responded to these calls and we will continue with due diligence as this type of behavior is not wanted nor tolerated in Livingston County. We intend on working these and other investigations/enforcement efforts in the area in addition to working with the Division of Liquor Control on the matter.

Anyone with information on these crimes may call us at 660-646-0515 or submit a non-urgent crime tip through our website at www.livcoso.org.
