All this means is that more people are paying attention to our website and the public information we share. This transparency helps keep our citizens informed of what reported crimes take place, who is wanted, where sex offenders are located, and who is incarcerated and for what allegations, and so much more.

We see people surrender once they are on the website and we often see additional crimes reported and discovered because of the information given. Crime TIPS often pour into the office once information has been posted which has significantly helped this office and other agencies in Missouri and even out of state to solve crimes and find wanted fugitives.

Many years ago sheriffs utilized a “Posse” to help round-up criminals. Today our transparency via the website and social media is the fastest modern day “Posse” available. News travels fast.

All this helps us achieve our goal of making Livingston County a safer place  for your family and ultimately saves you tax dollars.

Thank you for all the help, TIPS, and supporting the LCSO.
