Crime Map Details

May 17 at 12:27 a.m. LCSO responded to report of assault and burglary at location on North Sherman in Wheeling.  Victim is a 58-year-old female and reported having conversation with the suspect earlier and later the male reportedly broke the screen door of the residence, entered the home and violently assaulted the victim even choking the victim telling her he was going to kill her. 

Deputies arrived and suspect was arrested shortly after this at a different residence and suspect's alleged violence continued as the suspect attempted to head butt a deputy and was making verbal threats to find and harm the deputy. 

Arrested was a 50-year-old Wheeling man and was taken to the Daviess Dekalb Regional Jail by 2 LCSO staff members due to his actions.  Mr. Renshaw has since been charged in Livingston County Associate Court on 3 alleged class E felony violations being Assault-3rd degree, Harassment-1st degree and Resisting Arrest.
