Hospital Donates Pedometers to Bishop Hogan School

Matt Wenzel at Hedrick Medical Center donated 80 pedometers to Bishop Hogan Memorial School for their“Get Healthy, One Step at a Time” Project.  The School is revamping their walking track to encourage more walking at the school and in the neighborhood.  In Livingston County, there is a high percentage of residents dying from heart disease.  The proposal is a way to change the future risks for students.  The pedometers will be used by the students and staff to track daily steps and to encourage an increase in steps taken.  The Picture is of Jordan Ferguson, Marketing and Public Relations Director for Hedrick Med. Center and student Allison Higgins.  He is showing her how to use the pedometer.
